"As long as the church can fight about sex, it can avoid really listening to Jesus, and reaching out to the world."

Boy, ain't it the truth? Sometimes feels like re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

And I admire McLaren's spirit in response -- wish I had it. I got so incensed attending worship at Mars Hill that I walked out in the middle. When I heard M.D. begin using racist jokes from comic books (you had to be there to really understand that) for what seemed no reason other than getting a laugh or two to keep everyone "tuned in" to his hour long sermon, it went over the edge. (Makes me wonder also: If you can't say it in less than 60 minutes, I'm not sure you've done your homework enough to be given the microphone.)

*Sigh* We have SO far to go. Good thoughts here.

Hi to the fam.

Do you personally believe that all sexual activity between two persons of the same gender is always a sin?
